Here is the kitchen and bath in our B&B. Some how I have misplaced the pic of the bedroom. It was so pretty, It was dome in orange and yellow with a little bit of green accents. Bummer I cant find the photo.

We were on right across the street from the ocean. This was such a romantic B&B. We were surrounded by vineyards

Here is a bit of scenery on our way to Sassari.

The water was so pretty it just didn't photograph as pretty.

The cloudy little town was up in the moutains, it was raining on us but snowing on the moutain.

It was such a sweet little town. On our way out we were stopped bu a HUGE heard of cattle. I wish I had snapped a pic to show you.

When this came out Mathew asked
"Who pooped on your plate?"
This dish was ok-not my favorite though.
It looked too much like eggs-Blegh!
It is potato dumplings-they were good, the sauce was such an unappetizing color.

I like the food here but, sometimes you just want Chinese.

Whoops! I don't know why I put that first one here. It was a cute resturant-Its called Bacco.
The second pic is some shrimp dish. Mathew really liked it except he kept chomping down on the little legs that came off within the noodles-Sorry Angie, shoulda warned you.

Mathew and Eira along with our dinner. Mathew had pesto and I had....well, I don't really know-but it was fantastic!
Then we have a panini, I am not sure if thats spelled right.
But it is a large hard roll with meat and sometimes cheese. No, they don't grill them here, that just an American thing.
The outside of the roll is so crumby that when you are done eating you have to stand up and de-crumb yourself. But it is sooo worth it! The salami is soooo good! They also have a turkey that has a pastrami flavor and smells YUM!!!
I have discovered I do not like Prosciutto-BLEGH! Mathew likes it though.


Pizza anyone? The dough here is more salty where in America it is sweet. Here it is also rolled out very thin. Matt calles it a cracker-its not.
Dave (across from Matt) had Frutti de Mare
Sounds pretty, looks pretty but what that translates to is "Fruit of the sea" there were little squids on it (Agin sorry Angie.)
Ryan (next to Dave) had the Americano. It had Hotdogs & French fries on it! Heehee
Matt and I had a more traditional pizza? It had grilled red and yellow peppers, egg plant & salami.
Our very first pizza here we just picked one off the menu that is written in italian. When we got it it looked good, it had a salami, whole black olives, little white pearl onions, hotdogs (weird, but ok) And (CLOSE YOUR EYES ANGIE!) TUNA! TUNA? ON PIZZA?
Turns out tonno is tuna in italian. AAW, it was a fun eating adventure, and I learned two things
1)I don't like tuna on pizza 2)Tunno is engraved in my mind and I now understand what it is and know to avoid it.

THARROS

This is Tharros. It is also a place with ancient ruins. The first picture shows the path we are going to walk up, and it IS up! Behind us is the ruins, you'll see them in the 3RD picture.
Just showing the pretty water along our hike-the picts just dont show how beautiful the water is. The third pic is taken midway down the big hill that you see in the distance of the first pic.
Can you see the pillars? I think they were from 200-400 A.D. Also can you see the old road they have uncovered-so neat to see.
The big round thing is/was a monistary.
The next pic is of a "New" lighthouse, it is probably 100 years old. At this point we are at the top and on to thr otherside of the hill.

Oristano

After the kitten rescue we stopped at the beach.

Eira had alot of sand in her diaper so she had to go skinny dipping in the Med :)
Way behind Mathew you can see land, we are on our way there to walk our butts up a stinking steep hill to see more ancient stuff-it fun though.
Yeow! yeow!

This is Nora. It has ruins of an ancient civilization starting with the Phoenecians (B.C.!)I think.
In the first pic you see the lighthouse. In the second pic is the road, this one is a little hammered but WOW! amazin'.



The nest is the colosseum with the floors and pots. The pots had metal inside them to reinforce them. Cool to see. The next is the mosaic floor and remnants of pillars for the temple (I think).
It ia amazing how the floors have lasted hundreds/thousands of years!
This last pic is a public potty. You can see the remains of 3 on one side and one on the other. Yeah, EEW!
I have many more pics of Nora but I wont bore you...I'll wait till we get home. Heehee;)

Things that make us laugh

This first pic is funny because the sign says "No Parking".

Me pointing at the back driver side of the engine-This is funny because we have driven about 86 clicks from our hotel. As we were driving I had commented to Mathew how the freeway was strange because it has this "yeow!" "yeow!" noise sorta like when you cross the street in downtown SLC by the temple. Mats solution was to turn up the radio.
As we slowed into the town of Oraistano that noise was louder. I said "that sounds like a cat! Pull over!" I jumped out and Mat opened the hood-It looked like a clean engine and then the noise started again and there was a little cream and yellow kitten tucked down safely in the wheel well of the car.
He didn't want to come out-I thought he was stuck and I found Eiras hat to put my hand in there and try to get him out. We couldn't get him out but we started hitting the wheel well on the outside and he was quite eager to get out.
He was still yeowing about what happened to him when he got out. I kept trying to get a pic of him but he kept running away from me so in the last photo he is under the bush. That was the best I could take-I'll bet he is still yeowing! Mat calls this picture "Kittensquach" because its like the Sasquatch picture.
Mathew and I had a good laugh and would yeow at each other on our hike.

This is the tower it is part of the castle. I was told that the Nazis used this during the second world war, I have not looked it up to confirm it. In the curved arches are two portucullis with spikes (shivvver!)

Hmmm, this was on the front of the tower-I think its an elephant....or is it a pig with a long tongue? I just don't know, wadda you think?

Here are a few of the things we saw on Sunday. Did you know that in Italy days of the week are not capitalized?
The pic with the tree is the colosseum from a long long time ago, I for get when.
The next is a fun little street. The bottoms of the buildings are very old-some even looked like the intrances were carved form rock.

We walked our butts off and so of course needed to stop for some Gelato! MMMMM Gelato.....
